Has the Montevideo Maru, the ship sunk in 1942, ever been recovered? if not, are there any plans to recover it?

Sorry, I can not answer that question - All I know is that the Montevideo Maru left PNG waters (from Rabaul on the 22nd of June, 1942) before it was sunk near Luzon.

See also - The wreck of the Montevideo Maru -- http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2008/04/28/2229618.htm - this article says the USS Sturgeon recorded the co-ordinates of the sinking so it may be possible to find the wreck.
