Who was the first missionary from the London Missionary Service (LMS) in PNG?

James Chalmers arrived in Papua in 1877 however the Rev. William Lawes had been resident in Port Moresby from about 1874. A. W. Murray and Samuel MacFarlane left Lifou in the Loyalty Group in 1870 for New Guinea and set up mission stations in the Torres Strait area, especially around Boigu, which is now in Australia, but barely so. Wasn't Australia then.
