Madang has many places to stay.

The Madang Resort Hotel is set amongst five acres of exotically landscaped grounds, alongside the beautiful Madang Harbour entrance.

Smugglers Resort is set in tropical gardens on the shores of Astrolabe Bay giving sea views from its a la carte restaurant. It is 2 kilometres from central Madang and 15 minutes from the airport.

Facilities include 20 standard rooms, 18 premier rooms, 2 suites, air-conditioning, television, IDD telephone, large freshwater swimming pool, hair saloon, poolside bar, gift shop, conference facilities and car rental.

The Coastwatchers Hotel is located a few minutes walk from the commercial centre of Madang and near to the Madang Country Club's golf course and tennis courts. The Coastwatchers offers a relaxing atmosphere for business or pleasure stays. The spacious Premier Suites are on two levels with separate living area and kitchenette overlooking the Bismarck Sea.

You'll look out through the swaying coconut palms to the still active volcanic Island of Karkar and out into the Bismark Sea. They also operate scuba dive programmes for beginner and experienced divers on magnificent clear coral reefs and shipwrecks from days gone by.
